Project overview

Two courtyards. One artwork.

Passing Storms occupies two courtyards at Oregon State Hospital in Junction City, Oregon. Catherine Widgery / Widgery Studio supplied the exact three-dimensional design models. LostMachine produced the shop drawings required for fabrication, then fabricated, assembled and installed the work.

The fabrication work required translating the supplied digital models into full-scale physical assemblies while maintaining the specified geometry across both courtyard installations.

Fabrication & installation

From shop to courtyard.

LostMachine developed the fabrication information from the artist's supplied 3D models, produced and assembled the components in the shop, then transported and installed the work at Oregon State Hospital.
