There were some things I wish I could have changed.
I was not happy about the way the struts went together. The notching made the dome too weak. Given more time, a better solution could have been found, but with such a tight building schedule, trying to build the dome in less than two months, there was no other way. Before I set the dome up again, I plan on welding 1/8" backing plates to the area around the notches. This should strengthen the dome enough so that we don’t have bent struts while assembling.
