Each strut needed the ends bent. If this is not done the holes would not line up and there would be no curvature to the dome. The ends of the struts were thin enough for some movement, but I felt it was best to get them as accurate as possible.
Using my vise with small attachment called a "brake", we were able to bend the strut ends. Drawn out on the table, I placed guidelines for each different tangent angle for the different struts.
